Author Bio-Alden Carter
  • He graduated from Kansas 1969 with a degree in English and humanities. He was in the Navy for 5 years. His first book was called Growing season. He and his wife make children's books and young adult books. He is living in Wisconsin right now and enjoys baseball, writing and canoeing.

Plot Synopsis
  • This is book is about the story of Neil "Bull" Larson and his friend Jeff Hanson. Both of there goals all there life is to go play D1 college baseball at Arizona State, UCLA, Arizona or USC. The only problem with both of them is Jeff Hanson has an attitude problem and he is not very coachable and the problem with Neil "Bull" Larson is he is way to slow and cant run very fast because of his weight. This book goes through the struggles they have during 8th grade all through high school. They have girl struggles, grade struggles and of course baseball struggles.

Critiques
  • This book was written to perfection. This book keeps the hair on the back of your neck up. It talks about struggles that any teen boy would have if he is a really good athlete. It helps you discover the true gifts of life. You will never want to put this book down when you start reading it.
